Romeo and Jules bBespoke/b Stationery: bWedding invitation/b
Incorporating the couple's Indian and Jewish heritage, this intricate wedding suite was inspired by a traditional henna pattern. The pattern surrounded a Jewish star to symbolise the joining of the two cultures. Over the course of the wedding weekend, four events marked a different joyous occasion. A different tier of the design invited the guest to a specific event, with the pattern changing colour throughout. The RSVP card and envelope completed the suite, which were all encased in a bespoke pocket, made from gold fabric to add a pop of colour when the recipient opened the envelope. This blog is dedicated to showcasing some of our latest work as well as those things that inspire us. Our passion lies in creating unique bespoke stationery inspired by the techniques and patterns of earlier days. And, in an increasingly digital age, Romeo + Jules still believes in the art of experiencing textures, inspiring the senses, and of course all types of stationery. Don't get us wrong, we love our iPhones and laptops as much as the next person, but believe that there is something so magical about receiving a beautiful note card in the post. Much of what we design is letterpressed, which is a form of printing in which the images and text are literally pressed straight into the paper. This creates a lovely texture and we believe it adds to the modern-vintage look we strive to achieve.
